Ingredients
- 12 oz Fish cake sheets
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Gochugaru
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 Yellow onion
- 1 2-inch piece Dried kelp
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
Steps
- Blanch the fish cake sheets in boiling water for 30 seconds, then drain — this rinses off the oily coating so the seasoning sticks.
- Cut the sheets into 1-inch squares and the kelp into small pieces.
- Stir-fry the onion and garlic in a slick of oil for 1 minute, then add the fish cakes and kelp.
- Add the soy sauce, sugar, gochugaru, and 1/2 cup water; stir-fry 4-5 minutes until the liquid reduces to a glaze.
- Finish with sesame oil and sesame seeds, tossing once more; serve warm as a side or pile over rice.
