Ingredients
- 8 slices Salami
- 8 Mozzarella balls
- 8 Cherry tomatoes
- 8 Castelvetrano olives
- 8 leaves Basil
Steps
- If you are using long wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10 minutes so they don{Q}t splinter. For short cocktail picks, skip this.
- Fold each salami slice in half, then in half again into a neat quarter.
- Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with paper towels so the skewers aren{Q}t slippery to assemble.
- Thread onto each skewer in this order: folded salami, mozzarella ball, cherry tomato, olive, and a basil leaf.
- Arrange the finished skewers on a platter in a single layer.
- Drizzle very lightly with good olive oil, just a teaspoon over the whole platter, and finish with flaky salt and cracked pepper.
- Serve at room temperature within 2 hours. They can be assembled up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerated, just bring to room temperature before serving.
