Ingredients
- 8 oz Paneer
- 1/3 cup Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Tikka masala paste
- 1 Bell pepper
- 1/2 Onion
Steps
- Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes. Too small and the cubes fall apart on the skewer, too big and the centers stay cold.
- Whisk the yogurt with the tikka masala paste and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Coat the paneer cubes and marinate 15 minutes at room temperature, or up to 4 hours refrigerated.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes so they don{Q}t scorch under the broiler.
- Thread the paneer onto skewers, alternating with chunks of bell pepper and onion.
- Position an oven rack about 6 inches from the broiler element and heat the broiler on high.
- Broil 10 to 12 minutes, turning once halfway, until charred at the edges and the marinade is caramelized. Beginner tip: char is flavor here. Don’t pull them while still pale.
- Rest 3 minutes, squeeze fresh lemon over the skewers, and serve hot.
