Chocotorta
If you like chocolate cookies, you’ll love this Argentinian snack — 30 minutes from craving to table. It is weeknight cooking that still hits your targets — 13 grams of protein per serving. Naturally vegetarian, it scales cleanly if you are cooking for more than one.

Ingredients
- 2 lb Chocolate cookies
- 2 cups Dulce de leche
- 1 lb Cream cheese
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Coffee
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
Steps
- Beat the dulce de leche with the cream cheese until completely smooth — this two-ingredient filling is the whole dessert.
- Mix the milk with the coffee for dunking; quick dips only, soggy cookies collapse the layers.
- Layer dunked cookies and filling in a loaf pan, ending with filling, and chill at least 4 hours — overnight is better.
- Unmold, dust with cocoa, and slice with a hot knife; the layers should show like geological strata.
- Chocotorta keeps 3 days refrigerated and slices cleanest with a hot, dry knife wiped between cuts.
