Ingredients
- 2 packs Natto
- 1 cup Cooked rice
- 2 Scallions
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Japanese mustard
- 2 sheets Nori
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
Steps
- Stir each pack of natto vigorously 50 strokes with chopsticks; this builds the signature sticky strings and mellows the flavor.
- Mix in the included sauce packets, or soy sauce and mustard.
- Scoop hot rice into a bowl; heat wakes up the natto aroma.
- Spoon the natto over the rice.
- Top with sliced scallions, torn nori, and a thread of sesame oil.
- Eat with chopsticks, mixing as you go; first-timers usually love it by the third bite.
