Copycat Garlic Twists (Domino’s style)

An American snack built around pizza dough and butter — on the table in 30 minutes. Each serving lands at 220 calories with 10g of protein, so it eats like a much heavier meal. Naturally vegetarian, it scales cleanly if you are cooking for more than one.

Ingredients

Steps

  1. Cut the dough into 8 ropes about 8 inches long, then twist each one once down its length — a single twist bakes up chewy instead of doughy.
  2. Let the twists rest 10 minutes while the oven hits 475°F; rested dough springs less and bakes more evenly.
  3. Melt the butter gently with the minced garlic just until fragrant, about 1 minute — browned garlic turns bitter and there is no hiding it.
  4. Bake the twists 10 minutes, then brush them twice with the garlic butter while they are screaming hot so it soaks in rather than sitting on top.
  5. Shower with parmesan and parsley, and serve with warm marinara for dunking.
