Ingredients
- 1.5 lb Shrimp
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Tandoori masala
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Bell pepper
- 1 Red onion
- 2 tbsp Cilantro
Steps
- Peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails on for easy handling.
- Toss with the yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, and salt; marinate 20 minutes — no longer, or the acid will turn the shrimp mushy.
- Thread onto skewers with chunks of pepper and onion.
- Grill over high heat just 2 minutes per side.
- Pull them the moment they curl into a C shape and turn pink — an O shape means overcooked.
- Squeeze fresh lemon over the hot skewers.
- Scatter with chopped cilantro.
- Serve immediately with rice or flatbread.
