Ingredients
- 1.5 cups Edamame pods
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt
- 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
Steps
- Bring a medium saucepan of well-salted water to a rolling boil.
- Add 1.5 cups frozen edamame pods straight from the freezer -- no need to thaw -- and boil 4 minutes until bright green and tender when you bite a bean.
- Drain in a colander and shake off all the water. Dry pods take the oil much better than dripping ones.
- Toss the hot pods in a bowl with 1/2 tsp sesame oil until every pod glistens.
- Shower with 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt, taste one pod, and add another pinch if needed.
- Serve warm in a bowl, popping the beans out of the pods with your teeth or fingers. The pods themselves are not eaten.
