Ingredients
- 3/4 lb Chicken breast tenders
- 3/4 cup Low-fat buttermilk
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 4 Texas toast slices
- 1/4 cup Hot sauce
- 1/4 cup Light ranch dressing
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Butter
Steps
- Brine the tenders in buttermilk with a pinch of salt for 30 minutes.
- Dredge in flour seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; rest 5 minutes, then air-fry at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes until crisp.
- Warm the hot sauce with the butter until it just loosens; toss the hot tenders through it twice — the Kickin’ part is a coating, not a drizzle.
- Griddle the Texas toast until both sides are golden and the edges stay soft.
- Lay three sauced tenders across a toast slice, spoon ranch over in a thick stripe, and cap with the second slice.
- Press lightly, cut on the diagonal, and keep napkins close — the ranch is the fire extinguisher, and it is supposed to drip.
