Ingredients
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 cup Warm water
- 2 tsp Instant yeast
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cardamom
- 1/2 cup Raisins
- 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
Steps
- Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and cardamom; add the water and oil into a soft dough. Knead in the raisins. Knead 8 minutes.
- Rise 1 hour until doubled. Shape into a round loaf and press the traditional wheel pattern into the top.
- Let rise 20 minutes more while the oven heats to 375°F.
- Bake 30 minutes until deep golden and firm. The raisins caramelize into jammy pockets.
