Ingredients
- 12 oz Ground pork
- 2 tbsp Gochujang
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 Scallions
- 1 Egg
Steps
- Heat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg in a large bowl, then add the ground pork, half of the gochujang, the soy sauce, and the scallion whites. Mix gently with your hands just until combined. Beginner tip: overworking the meat makes tough, dense meatballs.
- Roll into 1-inch balls with damp hands and arrange on the baking sheet with space between them.
- Bake 18 to 20 minutes, until cooked through and nicely browned.
- Meanwhile, simmer the remaining gochujang with the honey and a splash of water in a small saucepan for 2 minutes, until syrupy.
- Toss the hot meatballs in the glaze until every one shines.
- Broil 2 minutes for caramelized edges, shower with the scallion greens, and serve hot with toothpicks.
